Benefit There Real Mascara Update

When i first bought this mascara i liked it but i was still on the look out for some thing better and guess what it never came, after a rocky start to my relasionship with benefits there real mascara it gradualy became serious i was in love

the thing that i was a little unsure about at first was how wet the formula was it made quite a mess on every application but i liked what it did to my lashes.

the more i used it the more i fell in love and as the mascara dried out it became less messy and I felt like I had control over how much product was being applied to my lashes it had stoped them looking clumpy and every time i tried another mascara it just didn't do it for me this has to be my favourite mascara ever and sadly my beloved mascara has completely dried up :(  so now i have go any but a new one even though i have loads of others to use i just don't want them I'm having serious withdrawal symptoms from a mascara yes a little crazy i know but  the effect it has on my lashes is addictive and i need more.

Clear Skin Intensive Cream Cleanser

This cleanser is from Avon's clear skin range it is the clear emergency intensive cream cleanser with 2% salicylic acid.

I purchased this while it was on offer and I'm really glad I did, its not an everyday cleanser I use it maybe once a week and it really does help keep the blemishes at bay.

At first it looks like a clay mask but then you feel it and the texture is a runnier consistency.

Now if you do not like cleansers that tingle or feel cold then this is definitely not for you, as soon as you apply the product it feels like you have dunked your head it a big pile of snow I try and leave it on for as long as possible which is about 60 seconds and with the menthol scent you have to keep your eyes closed otherwise they will water. Once its been washed off your face feels so  fresh it really deep cleans and removes any left over traces of make up to leave you with beautiful skin.

I have also mixed it with face masks to give them an extra boost I love it and will definitely repurchase.

It is normaly £5  for a 75ml tube but at the moment it is on offer for £2.50  and can be purchased from your local rep or online HERE

Whats your favourite Avon product?

Rimmel Match Perfection Cream-Gel Foundation

I am always on the hunt for a new favourite foundation even if I love the one that I'm using i always want to find something better so as you can imagine I have built up quite a collection of them as its Christmas soon I don't really want to be spending money on more foundations that I'll use a couple of times so I shopped my stash and came across this Rimmel Match Perfection Cream-Gel foundation which if I'm honest I forgot I even had I have the shade 100 ivory

I made a deal with myself to use the foundation for a week and then decide wether I want to carry on using it or re shop my stash

This product claims to adapt to your skin tone and texture, the first thing I noticed about this product was the smell it has a similar fresh scent to Bourjois healthy mix and it applied realy nice and felt realy refreshing on my skin it is a medium coverage and its buildable as It covered all my blemishes super easy, the colour match is pretty good and it does adapt to your skin texture.

The only negative for me is that after a couple of hours it started looking patchy around my cheeks and jaw line also it oxidised on me so the patchiness was darker than my own skin tone and quite orange, I tried it with 3 different primers and without a primer it happened every day so for me this one will be going back into my stash and I'll dig something else out to try

Have you tried this foundation and how did you find it?

NOTD Rimmel 60 Seconds nail polish

With the weather getting colder it's starting to feel more like autumn and I love the autumn/winter seasons that feeling of coming in from the cold putting the heating on full and snuggling under a blanket on the sofa to watch a film is my idea of heaven so I decided to dig out all my 'winter' nail polishes and this is one of my faves it's Rimmel 60 seconds in the shade movie star.

This polish claims to dry in 60 seconds and one coat is needed, now I can agree with the drying time but after one coat it looked a little patchy so I need 2, it is a lovely deep red with a gold and red shimmer/sparkle running through it.

What's your favourite autumn shade?

Simple eye look

Today I have done a very simple eye look I'm going to be a bridesmaid for my mum at the end of the year so I have just been playing around with some different looks and this one is my favourite so far

I used Bootycall from the naked 2 pallet on half my lid and foxy on my brow bone and from the MUA undressed pallet shades 3, 5 and 8 in my crease and shade 8 on my lower lash line

MUA gel liner in underground and Benefit there real mascara

I love how simple this look is but it looks really natural and dressy at the same time

Mascara Review : Week 3 : Collection 2000 Skyscraper Length andDefinition

I picked this mascara up in the pound shop and at first I thought it would be similar to Maybeline stiletto mascara but it's completely different the packaging may be the same but everything else is not.

The wand is plastic with short bristles on the bottom and sides and longer comb like bristles on the top

So hear are the pros and cons

Pros

The brush Is amazing the comb side separates your lashes and the shorter side gets really close to the lash line

Not messy

Really quick to get the desired effect

Cons

Not dark enough

Doesn't give brilliant length.

Now this mascara for me is best used in conjunction with a volumising mascara for the best results.

I have used this mascara with most mascaras I own and it is brilliant for combing through lashes that have gone clumpy as it separates the lashes and removes any extra product.

When used on its own it gives a very natural look to your lashes now for me I like my lashes to look a bit more dramatic but every now and then when I want to wear minimal make up or when I'm in a rush this is perfect.

Im really glad I picked this mascara up I have used it every day in my opinion the actual mascara formula isn't anything special its the wand that makes this such an amazing product

whats your favourite defining mascara??

Mascara Review : Week 2 : Maybeline The Falsies Volume Express

Hiya ladies well this is the second mascara review and this time it's Maybeline the falsies volume express.

This was just one of them impulse buys for me I just grabbed it and didn't realise it was waterproof until I got home I never usually buy waterproof mascara i have no idea why I keep clear of the stuff I just do

This mascara has a different brush to any other mascara I have used it Is curved and has flat short bristles on the top of the curve and longer bristles around the sides and on the tube it says use the flat side against your lashes and when you do this you can feel all the tiny bristles grab your lashes and comb through them which I LOVE.

Now hear are the pros and cons

PROS

I love the spoon brush
it gives good definition
Really easy to work with
Doesn't go clumpy

CONS

Doesn't seem to curl my lashes
Doesn't add any length
It's not black enough

When I use this mascara there seems to be something missing from my lashes and I just can not work out what it is.

This retails at £7.99 , the reviews I read after I bought this mascara really made me excited to use it but after the first use I was quite disappointed. When I use this mascara I team it up with another that gives length so I get the benefits from both products and the mascara I have found that works really well with this will be the next one I'm going to review so you will have to wait until next week to find out what it is :)

New feature : Weekly Mascara Review : Week 1 : Benefit There Real

For me mascara has to be volumising because my lashes are so fine, it is a plus if it also lengthening as they are ling enough for me but because they are so light in colour you can not see them so I find it really difficult to find a mascara that works for me.

I have decided to do a new weekly mascara review on a few that I have been trying over the past few weeks this is the first instalment and it is for

Benefit There Real Mascara

I'm going to give you a list of pro's and con's on the mascara

PRO'S

The formula is super black,
It gives length and volume,
The brush is easy to use,
It gives some definition

CON'S

If you apply too much can have a spider leg effect,
would like my lashes to be more defined and less clumpy

Overall I like it but it does take a bit longer to apply because I want to make sure my lashes look even and not too clumpy And it took me a while to get used to the brush I found that with this mascara while I was busy trying to get the definition I wanted my lashes were actually becoming even more clumpy so for me it is really easy to over apply this mascara.

The pictures were taken after I had used it for about a week and mastered how to use the brush and it still looks a tad clumpy

I'm not sure if I would repurchase this mascara again because at £18.50 it is rather pricey when in my opinion a cheaper mascara would do the same job.

What do you think about this mascara if you have reviewed it leave me your links i would love to read them

MUA BB Cream

I have been wanting to try this BB cream since is came out but as usual my local Superdrug never stocks new MUA products so when I went in and saw that they had all of the new stuff in  it was the first thing i grabbed

The first this I noticed when I used the BB Cream was the texture it is a lot thicker than other BB Creams I have tried and the lightest shade is a perfect match for me the next thing I noticed is it has a really good coverage and it's only £4 the only problem I found with it is that for me it doesn't apply that well with a brush because it is a thicker formula it needs the heat of your fingers to blend properly and a little goes a long way when using your fingers but I mean that isn't that much of a problem is it

This is what it looks like on my face i have no concealer on just the BB cream also i burnt my head the other day and after applying it on the burn area i can hardly see it it really covers redness

The only problem is that since using the peaches and clean cleansing milk my skin is really good and i don't really need that much coverage so once i have applied the product and blended with my fingers i use a beauty blender just to sheer it out a little bit.

My New Holy Grail Cleanser

For me one cleanser is the same as the next I have never found one that clears my skin Without drying it until now, I really cannot believe that I haven't bought this product before as I LOVE the brand.

SOAP AND GLORY PEACHES AND CLEAN

This cleanser is amazing I could see a major improvement in my skin after only 2 days, it has made my skin brighter smoother and best of all 99% of my blemishes have gone ( they have been permanent fixtures on my face for over 5 months and wouldn't budge).

In the past few days I have stopped wearing heavy foundation I have found that I only need a little bit of concealer under my eyes and maybe a bb cream.

When I first used peaches and clean I wasn't that keen on it being a cleansing milk I'm used to cleansers foaming when applying it to my skin, on the bottle it tells you to apply a little extra to and spots or problem areas I leave it on for a few minutes then wipe away with a cloth then pat my face dry it doesn't leave it feeling tight or dry i do this twice a day.

Before using this I was using 3 different things on my face to try and clear the blemishes and now i only use peaches and clean and will do for the foreseeable future. This product for me is perfect i definitely recommend that you try this cleanser I'm going to buy 3 more while soap and glory is on 3 for 2 I don't want to be running out as the other half has started using it haha

Let me know what you think of peaches and clean

June favourites

hiya everyone, yes i know its a little early but i cannot believe i havent done a monthly favourites before im always switching up he products i use and there are always things that i love one month and neglect the next so here are all my favroites for june

No7 Cream Blush & Real Techniques Stippling Brush

I picked this blusher up about 3 weeks ago and i love everything about it, the colour is amazing and its so creamy and smooth it works realy well with my stippling brush which has been neglected since my buffing brush came along.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation & Real Techniques Buffing Brush

This foundation is a lovely summer foundation it feels light on the skin and blends realy nice i have found that if i use powder over the top it dosent work so well, t goes blotchy i think thts because the foundation wears off after 9 or 10 hours and its like it was never ther but with powder on top it cannot do that and it just collects into patches and sits ontop of my skin.
The Buffing brush has been a firm fave ever since i got it i love the finish it gives its just a perfect brush.

Corn Silk Loose Powder & 17 Miracle Matt foundation

On days when i feel like i need more coverage iuse these two the foundation lasts all day gives a great coverage and i keeps me matt the only thing i have fopund with this is that it dosent woprk very well being applied with a brush because it dries so quick so i have been usiong my hands and the heat from myhands helps the foundation melt better into my skin and i can work with it longer.

Soap & Glory - Foam Call, Schwartzkopf Gliss Shampoo & Nivea Invisable Deodrant

I love Soap & Glory and i was so eager to get this when it came out its taken over from clean on me as my fave body wash it smells like pulp friction and i love it it foams into a luxsurious lather and leaves my skin feeling clean and moisturised.
This shampoo leave my hair feeling more managable i think it only cost £1 im already on my second bottle.
I hate deodrants that claimto leave no marks but they actualy do but this one dosent leave anything and it dosent smell too powdery either.

Maybeline One by One Mascara & Rimmel 60 seconds nail polish

I have loved this mascara for so long it works brilliantly on my eyelashes, the brush is the perfect size and tapered at the end to reach all those little eyelashes that most other brushes miss it gives so much volume and definition.
Im so impatient when wating for my nails to dry i always end up smudging them, this actualy dries in 60n seconds and you only need 1 coat perfect the colour is 230 Portobello Pink.

I love reading monthly favourites posts so please leave my your links to yours if you have done one
