MUA lipstick

I'm not usually a lipstick sort of girl i tend to lean more towards glosses but recently i have been using this one i got form MUA in shade 11 and for £1 it's a bargain.

I'm going to start with the packaging its simple which i like and at the bottom there is a clear cap covering a little bit of the product so you can see exactly what colour it is without even opening so when they are being stored makes it easy to select the shade you want.
The colour i chose was shade 11 which is a reddish brown, its a lovely formula easy to apply it just glides on the lips, the finish depends on how you apply if you put on 1 coat it will be a Matt-ish finish but if you apply more coats it will appear slightly glossy and deeper.

I really like this lipstick and I'm going to buy a few more to add to my make up bag
and for £1 you can't really go wrong.
MUA products are available from superdrug here
or from their website here

Have you tried any MUA lipsticks whats your favourite shade

Maybeline Colour Sensational Lipstain

I have never used a lip stain before so i was quite excited to try it out, the packaging is nice all the different colours have co-ordinating lids and ends which i liked, the applicator is like a felt tip pen so its easy to apply, i got the colour tender rose which is a lovely pink, the first thing i noticed was the scent it smells like fruity berry's also colour is really nice and you can't feel it on your lips it is quite transparent but if you wait for it to dry then apply another coat it gets darker which i found really useful because you can use it lightly for a day look and apply it heavier if your going out.

Top: 1 Aplication
Bottom: 3 Aplications
The first day i had this on my lips after 20 mins i noticed  the downside to it, i looked in the mirror and 90% of it had come off the other 10% was stuck to a little dry patch i had, i worked out that it had come of when my lips got wet 'im a lip licker' so because you can't feel it on your lips once it dries you have no idea if its still there or not.

Overall I'm 50/50 on this lipstain the colour is really nice but for me to maintain the colour i would have to check and re-apply it every 15-20 mins which to be honest I'm not prepared to do, i haven't got time to be looking in the mirror every 15 mins worrying that it had come off and I've been walking around with patchy lips. I would buy this if it had more staying power but as its a newish product i don't think they will be changing the formula any time soon.
you can buy it for £5.99 here

have you tried any lipstains from other brands and what did you think?
please leave comment and let me know :)

My Soap And Glory experience

I have been in love with Soap and Glory for quite some time my first 'experience' was 3 years ago when i got bought a gift set at Christmas
This is the first set i had

Inside the case were all travel sized products which were :
Clean on me (shower gel),
Calm one Calm all (bubble bath),
The Righteous butter (body butter),
Flake away (body scrub),
Flirtingo (moisturising spray)

Straight away the smell got me hooked its sweet and girly everything i like i loved everything apart from flake away as it seemed to leave a film on my skin. Then i kind of forgot about Soap & Glory for a while until one Christmas they had the large hat box on offer, i tried to get one and everywhere had sold out so yet again i had forgotten about S&G then it came to Christmas 2011 and i managed to get hold of the big splendour set.

I was so excited to get it home and open it, all the products were full size which i loved and when i had a bath that night i used EVERYTHING the product that really stood out for me was Pulp Friction (foaming body scrub), this didn't have the same scent as the others it was fruity and refreshing and most of all it had so much of the 'scrub' crammed into it, it really made my skin feel clean and so soft the only tiny down side to it was that all the bits sunk to the bottom of the bath so it was a bit of a pain to rinse it all down the plug every night but as the product is so great i couldn't resist using it all the time so i kind of got used to cleaning all the bits out it was definitely worth it.

So now I'm going to try and buy something new from them as often as i can to build my collection.
Whats your best and worse product from S&G?
please comment and let me know

Tea Tree Foaming Face Wash & Facial Scrub

Tea tree Foaming Face Wash

I baught this last week from poundland now some of you may be thinking it's not a major brand so it's rubish but let me tell you that it's AMAZING!!!! previously i was using clean and clear ultra overnight wash which made my skin so dry so i was on the look out for a cheap cleanser that works and i think i have found the right one for me and at £1 you carnt go wrong.
It leaves my skin feeling super soft and clean, i dont get dry patches with it or it dosent make me oily and it has a lovley fresh smell to it but as some of you may know with poundland they dont continously stock the same products so I'm going to go get another when i get chance.

Tea Tree Facial Scrub

This 'scrub' doesn't feel like any other i have tried it's not foaming it feels like a moisturiser with tiny exfoliating balls in so when i first used it i was a little surprised. When applying the scrub after feeling the texture i automatically went to rub it in like a moisturiser it seemed odd to rinse it off but i did and is left my skin feeling lovely and again like the foam it didn't dry out my skin or leave it oily.
This one smells slightly different it has a limeish scent to it but overall definitely worth £1.

I think everyone should go to their nearest poundland and see what bargains they can find
Have you found anything interesting in a poundland recently??
please comment and let me know

Eyebrows Love/Hate ??

Eyebrows we all have them and yet everyone likes theirs a certain way some just leave theirs natural and others go all out and shave them off to re-draw them back on me i love a good eyebrow i sometimes get brow jealousy.

This is my brow pre make up the shape is allot better than it used to be.

I like mine to be perfectly shaped and just the right colour........... this isn't aways the case you see, my eyebrows are really light, sparse and odd no matter how much i try and let them get thicker and more even it never happens so i just use powder to fill them in sometimes i may use a pencil but only very lightly but I'm never happy with them i often look in the mirror while I'm out and realise i have made them waaayyyyy too dark Oooops!

I love the shape of Kim Kardashian's but there too dark and a tiny bit thick at the tail for me so I'm always on the look out for a new brow shadow i really want to try the elf one but they are always out of stock so at the moment I'm using a pale brown from the MUA heaven and earth pallet  which is £4 form superdrug Buy Here or i use my naked 2 pallet which is £36 Buy Here i use the colour tease but as this is quite light i tend to lightly go over it with a brow pencil i use the MUA brow pencil in brown which is £1 from superdrug.

If you know of any products that i can try please comment and let me know
and also whats your fave brow product

until next time

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer

I hate buying concelers because i can never find one that i like or that covers my dark circles well enough so when i read missbudgetbeauty's review on it i was very intrested in the fact that it had two different shades and a powder with it so i decided to go and buy it.

When i first saw it i thaught it was a little bit small but hey good things come in small packages ;)
So as soon as i had got home i tested it under my eyes and to say how dark the colours look in the pallet they blend into my light skin realy well and the powder is realy nice aswell i used it the other day allover my face after my foundation and it's a perfect match (yes i know the powder is super light but so am i)

So i think i may have found a concealer that works for me thank you missbudgetbeauty for reviewing it otherwise i would never knew it exsisted.
You can buy it here for £10.00

Thanks For Reading

17 Miracle Matt foundation V MUA Matt foundation

I have very pale skin and i always struggle to find a perfect match foundation which has to be matt (i can get a lil shiny). Im reviewing two i have found that are  really cheap and affordable first up is:

             MUA Matt foundation 30ml

This is the cheapest of the two at only £2 form superdrug buy here it's available in 4 shades the one i got was shade 1 soft sand which is the lightest but i found it a little 'orange'  for my pasty skin.
I found it realy thick and difficult to blend which im sure if i add a little moisturiser will make it thiner and slightly lighter but i havent tried it out yet, it also stuck to a few little dry patches i had around my chin which is not a good look with it being to dark for my skin tone. The one thing i have used it for is i made my own eye primer and it's perfect for that.

             Top: 17 Miracle Matt
        Bottom: MUA Matt

So as you can see in the picture the Mua is quite dark for me so now on to the next which is:

17 Miracle Matt foundation 30ml

This is the more expensive (if you can call it that) it is  £5.99 form boots buy here its available in 6 shades i got porcelain this foundation offers a matt satin flawless finish and they are not lying it is brilliant it matches my skin tone perfectly and blends realy well, it has a more pinky tone than the MUA so it dosent leave me looking like an oompa loompa i can put this on in a dark room and not worry about aplying to much and looking silly and as it says on the bottle its a miracle matt foundation it covers any blemishes dosent stick to any dry patches overall it's a brilliant foundation for the price i am defiantly going to buy it again once it's run out :)

top: 17 Miracle Matt
bottom: MUA Matt

17 Miracle Matt foundation win's for me how about you what's your favourite foundation??

Thank you for reading please comment (it's my first blog post ever) i would love some feedback
